I'm Dr Sean Roberts, your local dentist in Aberystwyth. Fluent in both Welsh and English, I have been dedicated to serving the communities I've lived in since graduating from the University of Manchester in 2018. My training commenced in South Manchester (Wythenshawe), where I completed my Dental Foundation Training treating NHS patients. My love for Wales brought me back to Aberystwyth to continue the legacy of my childhood dentist. I am deeply committed to advancing my expertise and am currently enrolled in a Master's programme in Restorative Dentistry at the University of Birmingham, where I have achieved a Postgraduate Certificate.
Aesthetic Dentistry & Clear Aligner Expertise
My dedication to comprehensive aesthetic and dental care led me to the prestigious Harley Academy in London for training in Facial Aesthetics. Additionally, I have honed my skills in orthodontics at the IAS Academy under the guidance of Tif Qureshi, specialising in clear aligners. In 2024, I achieved the highest accreditation with ClearCorrect and was honoured to be a guest speaker at the ClearCorrect Expo.
Outside the clinic, I am passionate about cars and motorsports. I enjoy holidays and am a trained rescue diver. I also volunteer with the RNLI as part of their search and rescue team, dedicating my time to ensuring the safety of our community.
I look forward to providing you with the highest standard of personalised dental care in our community.

Leading Digital Dentistry In South Wales
Dr Sean has taken on additional responsibilities at the country's largest dental corporate, {my}dentist, as a Clinical Dental Advisor.
As part of this role, Dr Sean supports other dentists and their teams in South Wales in integrating the latest intraoral scanning technology into their workflows.
Dr Sean's expertise in this area allows him to support his peers and contribute to a collaborative network of dental professionals, helping patients benefit from high-quality care supported by modern technology.

As a very nervous patient, I was lucky to be treated by Sean and his Dental Nurse, Bex. Sean sensed my nerves and remained patient and sympathetic, which helped settle my nerves. Bex was also reassuring, and both spoke to me during treatment to help steady the nerves. I'd highly recommend Friars, due to the incredibly fantastic and wonderful staff, especially if you suffer with nerves. Most of the staff are also Welsh speaking which is a bonus. If I could give a 10 star review, I would.

After falling and breaking my crown and tooth and then having a major infection which swelled my face up like a balloon, I have to say that Sean has sorted me out quickly and efficiently. I can now smile after having a bridge, without gaps in my teeth and feeling embarrassed. I would highly recommend.
